Delete pages from a PDF and keep the rest intact
Scanners add blank sheets. Downloaded statements come with two pages of terms nobody reads. A signed agreement arrives with a duplicate of page four. Removing pages clears all of that out in one pass, and because the discarded pages are genuinely not written into the new file, they cannot be recovered from it by scrolling or by searching.
That last point matters when the reason for deleting is confidentiality rather than tidiness. A page you remove here is absent from the output, not covered up. Hiding something that stays on a page is a different operation, and if what you want to take out is a line or a number rather than a whole sheet, redaction is the tool that does it properly.
Check the remaining sequence before you download, particularly on a document where page numbers are printed on the page. The PDF will renumber its own pages, but the number printed in the footer of page 12 still says 12 even if it is now the tenth sheet. Add Page Numbers can restamp a clean sequence if that bothers you.

Pages are removed by your browser. The document is read from your disk and the shortened version is written in memory on your device, with no upload at any stage.
Check before you share
At least one page has to survive, since a PDF with zero pages is not a valid file. Deleting a page also deletes anything that sat on it, including its comments and form fields.

How do I delete pages from a PDF?
Upload the file, mark every page you want gone in the thumbnail view, look over the pages that are left, then select Remove Pages. The shortened PDF downloads immediately.
Is the deleted content really gone from the file?
Yes. A removed page is not written into the output document at all, so its text and images are not hiding inside the file. This is different from drawing a black box over something, which leaves the original content underneath.
Does this change my original PDF?
No. The file on your disk is read but never overwritten. You get a new document, so the full version is still there if you need it.
Can I delete a range of pages at once?
Yes. Select a span rather than clicking each thumbnail, which is far quicker on a long document. Mixed selections also work, such as page 2 plus pages 40 to 60.
Can I remove every page?
No, one page has to remain. A PDF with no pages is not a valid document and could not be opened. If you want nothing from the file, simply delete the file itself.
Why do the printed page numbers now look wrong?
Those numbers are drawn onto the page as part of its content, so they do not update when the page order changes. Restamp a fresh sequence with Add Page Numbers if the mismatch is a problem. Add Page Numbers
I only need to hide one line, not the whole page. What should I use?

Is my document uploaded to delete pages?
No. Everything happens inside your browser tab, so a confidential document never leaves your device.
What happens to comments and form fields on a deleted page?
They go with the page. Annotations, links and fields are attached to the page they sit on, so removing the page removes them too. Fields on surviving pages are unaffected.
Can I remove pages from a password-protected PDF?
