Extract pages from a PDF into a new document
You have a 90 page annual report and you need pages 14 to 19 to send to an accountant. Extracting is the direct answer: tick those pages, download a six page PDF, done. The report itself is not touched, so there is no risk of handing over the wrong file later.
This is the mirror image of removing pages. Extract when the pages you want are the short list, and remove when the pages you want gone are the short list. Both end up at the same document, but one of them takes four clicks instead of eighty.
It is also worth knowing what extraction will not do. It works at page level, so it keeps or discards whole sheets. If a page contains something you need to take out, such as a signature block or a line of personal data, that is an editing or redaction job rather than an extraction one.

Extraction selects complete pages. It does not edit what is printed on a page, so it cannot pull one table out of a page or drop a paragraph while keeping the rest.

How do I extract certain pages from a PDF?

What is the difference between extracting and splitting?

Does extracting pages delete them from the original?
No. The original PDF on your disk is only read. If your goal is to get rid of pages rather than copy them out, use Remove Pages on the document itself. Remove Pages
Can I extract pages that are not next to each other?
Yes. Select any combination, such as page 3, pages 11 to 14 and page 40. They are written into the new PDF in document order, not in the order you clicked them.
Is the quality of extracted pages reduced?
No. Pages are copied as PDF objects, not re-rendered into images, so text remains selectable and searchable and any vector artwork stays sharp at every zoom level.
Can I extract part of a page?
No. Selection works on whole pages. To keep only a region of a page, crop it in the PDF editor, and to take specific information off a page, redact it instead. PDF Editor
Are my pages uploaded to extract them?
No. The work happens in your browser tab. The document never leaves your device, so confidential files can be handled without sending them anywhere.
Can I extract pages from a protected PDF?

Do form fields and annotations come along?
Fields, comments and links that sit on an extracted page are carried into the new document. Anything attached to a page you did not select is left behind with it.
How do I extract one page as an image instead?
