Is Big PDF Tools free?
Yes. 41 tools, and no account needed for the everyday ones: merging, splitting, compressing, rotating, converting and signing are all free, with no watermark on the result. Three tools are Pro only, and a few tools have one or two Pro options inside them. See what is free and what is Pro
Are my files uploaded to a server?
Not for most of them. 21 of the 41 tools do the whole job in this page, on your own processor, so the file is read off your disk and never sent anywhere. The rest, such as compression, OCR and the Office conversions, need software that cannot run in a browser; those files go to our conversion server, are used for that one job, and are deleted afterwards. Can I compress a PDF to 200KB?
Often, but nobody can promise an exact size. Compress PDF has three levels, and the strongest one takes a scanned document down a long way because the pictures inside it carry most of the weight.
